Just saw on ESPN Ticker: Florida officials will meet with Scott Frost in Orlando this weekend (IN CASE/IF) Chip Kelly decides to go elsewhere.

Couldn't recall if it said in case or if.

Has any coaching search ever went like this? With the hype and media involvement? All seems contrived.

 

Get Bobby Stoops on the phone to advise Scott Frost...There are sometimes better jobs than your alma mater, especially if you want to win and win big.

 

It's amazing to me that so many insiders are still trying to play mental gymnastics with their wording. Just admit you were wrong. It's not that difficult to do.

LOL, rumors is what got this post to well over 1000 pages. No worries man. Gator nation will survive. Bigger than anyone coach. Not an easy job.

 

Stricklin better be ready with a backup plan and not sitting counting on chip. We all knew chip was flaky. Blank check and whatever frost wants. Just destroy the competition.

 

It would be an understatement to say this entire thing has Worn us all down and some of us have gotten emotionally invested in this. But stop jumping off of a cliff at every report that comes out.

Could UF wind up with Frost? Sure they could. But based off the information I've read/seen I am confident (much more so now than I had been when I first came to the board) that Frost will be the next coach at UNL. That doesn't mean its a guarantee and it doesn't mean thing can't change. But I answered the question that was asked.

If true I have to say that is telling. What is interesting is that Scott Frost would did not want to meet with anyone until his season is over. So is the report false or did SF change his mind? And if he changed his mind it would seem to say he has serious interest in the job.

 

Yea...we're not flying the entire women's soccer team on one of those jets. Just meant to say that some admins may be heading there to see the game.
