I think it was half of what you see and nothing what you hear if I remember correctly. He either knew that: 1) this would be a dog and pony show 2) misdirection and shade was going to be thrown either by his side or others 3) they were going to keep it very close to the vest and 4) all the above.

 

Only a few more days and this entire thing can be put to rest.

I only have 2 sources that I would listen to on this one and they have both been truthfully unknowing of what’s going on, and while they’ve been telling me exactly that neither of them have an idea (and they are low level but usually know stuff going on) one told me her “personal opinion” is that he’s going to UCLA.

I didn’t know how to take that since she said she doesn’t know but she works for and in the UA building.

I was told this right before I saw someone respond to what you wrote.

Also, anyone that thinks Tim Tebow isn’t a little in the know is just being silly. He may not know but he DEFINITELY knows more than pretty much everyone here.

 

But sure got a good vibe last Sun. when CK was asked about the UF job, went from calm to nervous, and smiling.

 

I felt the same wat watching it live. People who were there disagree and say they got good vibes. Have yet to have anybody explain to me, because I thought it looked awful.

Trusting the people on the ground more than myself, but I felt the same way you did.

 

Expecting CK in orange and blue. I choose to think SS was one of 2 people who weren't full of angst yesterday and very thankful for the turn of events the last month.

If not my criteria for the list would be who do I not want to coach against on the other sideline. Those are the guys that would be on my list, not a list made up shiny objects. If I'm not worried about facing them I sure as hell don't want them coaching my team.

From there cull the obvious, Saban. The next 4 guys get serious inquires about availability. I'm sure SS has done something similiar. If his call to CK really was to vette Scott F at that point SS was checking several guys.

 

So he's having conversations. Plans to have more. Leave it open for any outcome and imply you might be working toward an offer. That's as close as you are going to get to explicit from a media savvy guy in the middle of a negotiation....by design.

He's definitely not calling Tebow to spill the real scoop. All of the talking heads and media are speculating.

UCLA plays late tonight east coast time so I doubt we hear much today. If we don’t hear anything tomorrow about CK to UCLA I like our chances. I like our chances anyway.
