If Chip plays his cards right, Adarius "crazylegs" Lemons could be his first Gator Heisman candidate.
I am in that camp that believes CK is our next HBC and that Tilly and BTG have information from people in the know which they just can't share but allows them to avoid the rollercoaster of emotions based on all the rumors. If CK doesn't come though, we have to hire a coach here that wants to embrace the Gator Nation and all that comes with it. We demand dynamic offense AND lock down defense. Nobody used to beat us at home due to our atmosphere but not so much the last 9 years. The coach needs to have an IDGAF attitude when it comes to burying our opponents and not be conservative in his approach to developing quarterbacks to implement that offense. Whoever comes here needs to understand that we expect it to be this way and if it's not, criticism will follow. It's our AD's job to bring that person in and give him all that he needs to make that happen. I believe Smithers Simpson is that guy. I want to believe that we are about to have a huge resurgence. I'm tired of losing to schools we should handily beat, to F$U every year, and Bama when we make it out of a weak East. It's time to take back the MF Swamp!
For the little we have seen of Lemons, I don't understand why he and Davis didn't split time as the featured back.
Found one on TickPick yesterday $82 40 yd line west stands 80 rows up. Electronic download. First time using that site.
Dang, I go away for a few hours to stuff my face with yummy goodness and come back to questions over UF's academic reputation? One post said we dont have a great reputation nationally...true in a way, I think its more indifference due to no real desire to know if its a good school or not. My co-workers are mostly from the north east and a few from North Western, they had no idea Florida was rated as high as it is. They know now. At the end of the day, there isn't a school in the country that can combine academics and athletic success better than UF. If we are talking small sports maybe Stanford is in the conversation but no one has had the success of the major athletic programs along with being a top 50 school like UF. I love it. Its the best of both worlds. Now back to our regularly scheduled meltdown over the coaching search "sources".
If we are looking at proven HCs, why not Dabo, Franklin, or Malzahn(aka the Calzone)? If we were going to open the checkbook for CK, don't you think these guys could be persuaded?
Losing the annual game with Auburn sucked. We had played them more than anyone else prior to the split. The problem being they had a longer running rivalry with Georgia than they did with us so that's who they got for the annual east opponent.
did any of you see the injury to the Mississippi State quarterback. holy crap his foot was facing the wrong way
Isn’t Mullen 2-17 vs top 25 teams? What makes anyone think he’d be a good fit? Especially with his open criticism of the fan base and his wife’s hatred for Gainesville. Good coaches find ways to win, regardless of their roster. He’s had talent come through there, but all he has done is compile the worst winning percentage against top 25 teams in the history of the AP poll. No thank you! Anyone but Mullen.
Why would Dabo want to come here? He just won a championship at Clemson and is contending again without his starting QB? I can't see Malzahn wanting to come here either. We put people on the hot seat as fast as anyone. After his experience with Auburn, I can't see him wanting to repeat that here. We missed our chance at Franklin by keeping Champ a year too long. He's a home run hire having resurrected PSU from that nasty scandal.
A thread with over 1.2 million views! What the heck is going on here??? Had to check and make sure it wasn't a porn thread. ; ) Mad props to ya, Tills. Ray
Frangie on 1010xl said he knows for a fact that Patterson came in and was interviewed by TN before Jones was hired, and even said he wouldn't be shocked if Patterson finally gets a bigger job.
