I am saying if Florida misses on Chip, Frost, Mullen, Taggert and even Campbell then what then? If we're at option 4 or 5 in 7 days I think that says a lot about how other coaches view this program

Lane is an offensive savant. As far as the administrative responsibilities of a HC at a major program, he's failed. I'm sure he's learned a lot since the last time, but there's a lot less to juggle in Boca. Judging him on his interviews this year, his past behavior, and my run ins with him since he's been in Boca, he hasn't matured a bit. Like I said before, he seems like he's a textbook Aspy. Accepting help and working with a professional on his issues would be the best thing for him.

 

Tell me how you think we are a top 10 program . If you were a top senior player in HS right now would you see UF as a top 10. These Hs kids have not experienced the Gators as a power . They were too young. With the right guy can UF move into an elite perception ? I think so.

 

So elite in your eyes would be Alabama, fsu, Auburn, Clemson, and Ohio State? That’s all the elite teams huh? Pretty ignorant.

But maybe my definition of elite is different. For me, times change. Florida was an elite program in the early to late 2000s. Sure.

But in 2017? Being at the bottom of the "top program" list is the best I'll give you. Florida as elite? No. Not once Chip and Frost fall through

I agree. What we have here is a perfect storm of circumstances with Kelly and Frost. If Kelly goes to UCLA, it's because he wants an easier time of it. Frost is a Nebraska guy, it makes sense if he wants to go home. Neither case is a knock on UF. So who's left? Except for Mullen (there may be some left-over bad feelings, plus there's his wife with her groceries problem), it seems to me that we pretty well have our pick of who's left. That's bad?

 

Totally agree but I will say if the rumors about not bringing a contract on the flight are true, we woefully messed up.
