Update: Kelly buzz..."The Thread" Hall of Fame bound.

I think as Gators fans we are so used to seeing everything possible go wrong for us over the last 9 year's that it is hard for us to have any faith. Everybody including myself wants to panic, and freak out.

It all started with Cam Newton stealing that laptop, to Carlos Dunlap falling asleep drunk at the wheel, the beatdown vs Bama, Meyers "health issues", Addazios offense, Meyers departure, Jenkins dismisal, Raineys domestic issue, Weis and his failure, Driskels broken leg, Brissets transfer, Muschamps offense woes, Driskle transfer, Griers suspension, Griers transfer, the credit card fraud, the disaster in Dallas, Macs weird comments, beatdown by UGA, Macs firing, beatdown by Mizzou....

It's just so many things, many I missed, I think we all expect things to go wrong, when we became so used to everything going right.

It just takes one thing to make it all change, one action, one break, and I hope that change is Chip Kelly. If it isn't I fear we haven't yet hit rock bottom. Not even close.

 

Need to tighten up there. only 4 more days!

 

My educated guess is he wants Ryan Day as his OC and Jerry Azzinaro as his DC, or at least AHC/DL.

 

Don't do that, your reporting what you hear provides a service unavailable to 99% here and if it falls through, you need to continue to post here.

 

Kelly and frost aren't coming. On to mullen, Taggart, and strong. Sad I know, the stench of Foley still remains

 

Me and while i like him, he tends to go over the top at times with his emotions just like he was last segment

 

Kelly is shopping. You don’t go after one job and ignore all else possibilities. This is somebody’s career and life we’re talking about after all. Nothing was ever a “done deal”.

I don't fault folks for their own interpretation of the spotty info streams which everyone on a board like this to engage in some speculation. Best you can do is gather all the info you can, try to make some assumptions and then make your own internal predictions.

I've read it all and I still think that a guy who is more about football than the intangibles UCLA supposedly offers ... ultimately picks UF. Odds are on our side.

But obviously none of us know. Obviously all of us wanna know or we wouldn't be camped on this thread. Til we know we're just "waiting", like the sea lions in your pic. Some folks deal with a big uknown by indulging the negative and then hoping to be surprised by the positive. It's a bit of a downer on the rest of us but not sure that coping mechanism makes them "chicken little".

Whether you believe CK will become a Gator and turns this program back to glory ... or you believe we'll have to settle for Plan B, the waiting is a hard part (as TP said).

 

wherever he goes, I expect those two and Michael Clay as ST coach.

 

I do wonder if we land Kelly and he brings on Ryan Day as OC that we'd make a run at Emory Jones as Day is Jones' primary recruiter at Ohio State. Also FWIW, Jones was/is considered likely to flip to Bama, but with them talking to Corral I wonder if we see a little swap there with Corral going to Bama and Jones to UF, if we make the Kelly/Day hire.

 

We're still very confident he's coming here. There's going to be a lot of speculation and false stories over the next few days until Sunday.

 

I'm thinking the same thing. If he wants a cush job with good pay go to UCLA. NTM he won't sweat his fat ass off over there.
