So it's between us and UCLA for Chip Kelly, eh? Much of the reasoning to pick the Bruins by various talking heads makes no sense to me. He's a West Coast Guy? Coached at Oregon? Yep. SF 49ers? Yes, for one year. Otherwise, he is from New Hampshire, played at New Hampshire, was assistant coach at Columbia, New Hampshire, and John Hopkins and was head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. None of those are West Coast. UCLA is a better fit because he coached at Oregon? Because UF is too tough on coaches? Do these people know ANYTHING about Philadelphia Eagles fans? Here's what I think: If Chip Kelly chooses UCLA over UF, then the Gators are no longer a major program. And that means we either need to better our facilities, pay more for assistants, or something, but something will need to be done to put us back where we were. But I believe Chip chooses UF.
My only gripe with this thread is that I can’t keep up with it all. I wish I could just download it directly to my brain.
Maybe it was you who said something like that earlier, or maybe somebody else, but y'all nailed it. Dooley has sized CK up, and figures he's the type that's not going to buddy around with him and give him any scoops. Hence his opposition to CK. Never mind about whether he's the right fit for our program or not. Pat Tooley. Gotta love him.

At this point, you might as well just fly out of Gainesville. Gator Nation will track the entire sky so flying out of Orlando, Ocala, Jacksonville or anywhere else to be discreet won't accomplish anything.
