Yeah the whole cancelling of officials this weekend isn’t a solid sign that CK will be the guy like many think.

I believe you. And I think all the evidence points that we are a better fit than UCLA.

However, do you have any reservations given Kelly has left people at the alter before (Bucs, Browns)? I think we are at the alter...

 

Exactly. And for all the praise CK receives, he has yet to win a championship. I would think winning a title would be #1 on his list of things to accomplish and UF certainly gives him a better chance at that than UCLA. People are making it seem as if he has reached the top of the mountain and there is not much else for him to accomplish, so he would prefer the "easy" job over the hard one.

 

How long are you going to be taking these bets? Is there a minimum or maximum you're willing to cover? Asking for a friend.

 

Until I hear CK or SS say he will not be our next coach, he WILL be our next coach. Mad props to BTG, Tilly and others who have stood their ground against all (negative) comers. Appreciate all the info and one Helluva fun thread.

This whole flying to LA vs flying to Gainesville thing, can you imagine the shit show of fans and press if he flew into Gainesville? In LA TMZ might know who he is while they camp out at the airport looking for others, but if they flew him in a private jet then they probably flew into Santa Monica Executive anyway. Did anyone there even notice?

Nobody would notice him in LA. We have fans hanging out at little bitty airports in the middle of nowhere stalking every private plane that moves. I don't think he went there, but it makes sense that he didn't come here.

I don't believe any of the insider information that people seem to think they possess. And anyone trying to dissect why UF would be a slam dunk over UCLA is looking at things from their own perspective... they are not in Chip Kelly's head. He's an eccentric personality. He could choose UCLA simply because they don't have In N' Out Burger in Gainesville. Nobody really knows what Chip Kelly is going to do except for Chip Kelly. He'll either go to UCLA or UF. We have at least a 50/50 shot.
