Heard a piece of the Chuck Oliver show. He thinks Kelly will end up in the SEC, probably at Florida, and that he prefers the SEC to PAC12.
Important takeaways from the article are as follows. 1 - Multiple sources have told Forde we are preparing to contact other candidates - i.e. this is coming from different people, so this isn't some random rumor. 2 - "Preparing to contact" means just that. We aren't speaking directly to the coach in question, but we are doing the things necessary to be ready to contact him. That means background checks, research, speaking to agents, gauging interest, etc. 3 - We wouldn't contact anyone until shortly after Thanksgiving, which shouldn't be surprising since the other candidates have jobs and aren't available until after their game this weekend. 4 - What this all means is that we are getting ready to move on if Kelly isn't in the fold by the weekend. The fact that multiple people are telling this to Pat Forde (a reliable guy) is not a good sign.
TMZ does scoop and the few times I've read sports articles they were accurate and ahead of mainstream. ( in other words, accurate scoops) I always thought of it as a rag, but at least on some things it has done more investigation than the major sources.
That article I'm sure was leaked by UF to get Kelly off the pot. If he doesnt make a decision VERY soon we'll move on.
This is as good as STAB was in my opinion. It's just him taking a guess and stating the obviously. NTSH.

But this is the perfect misdirection response for one, and the prudent response as well. Things COULD happen. Even if the deal is agreed to, he could go all Billy/Magic on us. Obviously we will move on if forced to. Thing is, there is no chatter to lead us to believe we will be forced to.
Here is the thing. Chip Kelly has not taken his name out of hat. Until that happens..... I think he is coming here. If he weren't, we would know from him by now.
