I don't think that's quite accurate. I believe Sharty Skidmark or somebody stated something to the effect that UF would offer to keep Shannon in some capacity if Kelly didn't retain him. Basically what you're saying but I don't think Shannon will really be at UF next season.

I think it's more of a token gesture to Shannon because I think it's highly unlikely Kelly is going to retain Shannon as DC and I seriously doubt Shannon would accept a demotion to stay at UF.
