It’s pufferfish and it’s not cooked - sushi chefs train for years to learn how to include just enough of the poisonous meat with the rest of the sushi to give your tongue a pleasant sensation. I regret not trying it while I was there - it’s a delicacy.

This thread has a life of its own now so here's my two cents this morning FWIW

 

As luck (?) would have it - my daughter (6 at the time) broke her leg about a week before this Europe trip that we had planned for 6 months. She was in a wheelchair and had a walker. Made things a lot harder in general but for some of the tourist stuff it helped get us to elevators and to the front of the line.

Venice was interesting - my wife carrying her and me carrying a wheelchair over every stair/bridge.

 

Nope. Nothing. Same as yesterday.
