@rmonteag, I got you fam. @everybody_else, nobody is going to convince anybody in this thread what to believe. If you want to think the wheel's are falling of the bus, cool man. If you want to believe that Kelly signed but it's being withheld for some unspoken contractual reason, cool too. Believe what you wanna believe, this is 'merica and you have that right. However that doesn't mean you will convince anybody that opinions are facts, whether positive or negative. And that's all we have right now, a bunch of opinions and people who may or may not have insider information. Believe them or don't but it's kind of fruitless to try to convince them to think the way you do.

Most people here understand your view and accept that you have it, even if they refuse to agree with it. You have been heard, rejoice in that knowledge.

Without knowing the language of the offset clause, this is not a determination we're equipped to make. Further, even if you use an effective date after the season, it doesn't guarantee that SF or Philly will pay without a protracted legal battle (assuming Kelly has the law on his side), so I could understand a cautious approach here.
