Where/why did the bastardization of Stricklin's name originate? Seems to me that he is owed the respect to use his name.

He has our offer, I expect that SS has a backup plan, or more likely, several backup plans. If he declines our offer we will move on. If it drags on into the end of the season, we will work deals in parallel to this one. Personally, I do not see it dragging on past another week or two. Chip will know what he wants to do shortly, and knows that the losing school will be in a bind.
When I lived in Ft. Laud in the late 70's I caught tarpon all year round in semi land locked lakes and ponds. Some pretty big, most in the 20-30 pound range. Was a lot of fun on light tackle from the shoreline. Tarpon can live in almost any water if they have a food supply.

I watched the live feed, Stockton confirmed nothing. We are all certain he was meeting Chip Kelly, he did not confirm it though. You are right the links all seem to go back to the same source, it does not mean that CBS did not verify it too. CBS will not link to some no name source. Not saying this source is correct, but probably has some weight behind it. So the idea here is if the rumor is Chip Kelly to UF, then it is true. If it says anything to the contrary "they just want clicks" ? We just need to dial back our expectations. Unless the AD announces it, or a strong leak to ESPN / CBS / mainstream media confirms CK to UF, then it anything is possible. No one has demonstrated here or elsewhere that they have a reliable source to trust. I give credit where credit is due though. I think we found out about Chip Kelly being high on the interest list here before anywhere else, which I appreciate.
