Yeah, would surprise me if the holdup were CK waiting on UCLA. If CK was ever going to be UF's next coach, the UCLA firing has zero influence.

Not an encouraging development with respect to Kelly. I don’t think it impacts too many of our other potential targets should Kelly fall through.

 

Just watched about 40 mins of Buddy's show today. Really nothing new.

He did have Finebaum on, and for the life of me I don't understand why FB is still stuck on Mullen. Mullen isn't coming here, and everything I've heard suggest he really isn't even being considered. Nevertheless, FB said he didn't feel comfortable saying Kelly was the front runner. Kind of thinking he doesn't know much at all...

Other than that, not a whole lot from the show. Though Buddy did post afterwards that he is more convinced Kelly is our coach. Expects something to happen this week.

Why wouldn't Stricklin wrap this up before UCLA came open. Hope he knows what he is doing and he don't lose Chip.

 

Hopefully the UCLA opening forces Secret Scotty to demand a public announcement soon.

 

The only question I have is would Kelly really want to go to UCLA or not? East Coast guy and has an opportunity to coach in the SEC at a much more successful program woild seem to outweigh UCLA.

 

I would say it's about time we hear from @BenTrillGriffin.

Everyone knew UCLA was going to be open. Not sure why it would change anything. Just like when Riley is finally gone.

Just read on another website, on coaching rumors, "Florida: Florida AD Scott Stricklin wants to hire Scott Frost (per same SB Nation report); however they add that “Florida is worried about Frost’s ability to build out a staff of SEC recruiters”. They add Florida would want Frost to retain Randy Shannon and perhaps other defensive staff members."

 

Demand? I think that would be bad move.

 

Why would they fire him now if they didn't think they could get CK before we do? They lost a close game to a much better USC team. It's not like the dumpster fire that was our team with JM. I'm officially worried.
