Keep in mind done deal = I will coach your team for X dollars and you give me X dollars for assistants. My agent will work out the details. Finalizing the deal = all the dotted "I"s and crossed "T"s nothing will derail the process unless there is disagreement with some of the details but baring that, the verbal agreement to coach is the done deal

My guess, and it's only a guess, is that the "teams" would have been going back and forth for the last day or 2 "negotiating/drafting" electronically and by phone until both sides were in agreement on all the terms. The signing would just be a formality. No need for a team to be there.

 

I've lurked here for years and years and this is by far the most fun I've ever had. Now I'm even watching this freaking webcam... getting weird looks from my wife. But, not nearly as weird as when she looked over and saw that nasty zit being popped. Hats off ladies and gents!

There are so many posters, bloggers, tweeters, etc., who are trying to be "the man" on this hire and who are spreading drama and rumors at every turn.

I've even seen a rumor tonight that UF forced YouTube to take down a video of Kelly's lawyers de-boarding a plane in Gainesville. Its gotten ridiculous.

Scoff Stocklin must be having a lot of fun playing all the social media outlets like this.
