I don't believe all the rumors but just as a matter of point, if Chip Kelly wants in, you don't wait for anyone. Even a 20% chance at Saban would have a lower Expected Value than Chip.

There's no way to hold on Chip. If you don't hire him now, you are passing on him because you'd rather have someone else.

Any other year, Frost would be the first choice, but under no circumstances can you pass on hiring Chip Kelly if he wants the job.

If SOS or Foley or boosters are a hold up, and SS is attempting to swing people to chip kelly, SS can also swing people to chip after he’s hired. Plenty of time to do so after the fact
