I think Spurriers comments could be construed as the coach is with "his team" as in locked up "with the Gators" who possibly could be going to a bowl game and everything else is an uncertainty about exact date the announcement of said coach is public.

 

Yeah, and tell Washington fans how great Spurrier is. You may get an argument.

Sometimes a coach is just better suited for college.

Dang this forum for getting me all hyped up for Frost, if the rumors are true about Kelly...which is still an excellent hire.

Don’t get me wrong, would be a yugeee hire, but I have a hard time believing Frost would want to stay at UCF another year with both UF and Neb calling. If he is the guy, I imagine we would hear about it officially as early as next week or two

To be fair, I'm not sure any college coach truly likes recruiting. Having to spend an insane amount of time sucking up to a bunch of 17 and 18 year old kids isn't exactly fun.

Yep. But supposedly that's one thing that drove chip to NFL. I think it would be way more reasonable st UF than at Oregon. Allegedly that's a key reason why Urban chose UF over ND
