I wasn't thrilled with the thought of Kelly, but it is growing on me. Especially with the ability to hire him early, and have him stick the landing for the class. I said it another post that he's the coach. Announcement this time next week, two weeks at the latest.
It's Kelly or Frost or bust for me. I think these are the only 2 coaches man enough for Florida. I'd personally favor Frost, since he's younger and he has a Swagger to him. But Kelly is still a monster hire and the offensive players should be salivating.

kelly started off well enough in the nfl. definitely proved he could win, but i think he had no business trying to play gm. got in over his head on the personnel side of things. big difference from just recruiting, which he would have zero problem with at UF. kelly may or may not coach in college again, but it would be somewhere he can get elite oline and dline talent on a consistent basis. that was his achilles heal at oregon.
I hate to be that "according to my sources" ass hat but according to my sources (lol) - UF got the clearance from SEC an NCAA in the past 24-48 hours. Should hear something by this time next week, definitely before FSU game so he can be on campus for visits. Deciding factor between him and Frost is Chip reached out expressing interest, we reached out to Frost. Frost is playing hardball/feeling himself a bit, plus prob really wants to be in Nebraska. My thought is if Chip wants to be here and we can get him for less...SIGN ME UP! He's Frost's dad essentially in coaching style, he's won on the big stage, I'm HYPE.
