The team played hard and with heart, they didn't give up in spite of the injuries (losing our star QB hurts)-I don't call that "awful"

Not throttling back, he is playing to the ability and knowledge of the 3rd string QB. Which is limited.

Any time you are on your 3rd string QB it is gonna hurt you.
