      Dear StrangeGator,

As I believe I mentioned to you before, I have twin 12-year-olds who have Aspergers. Both are in the sixth grade. One is doing very well at a very competitive public school in my area with "accomodations," including a teaching assistant. The other one is starting to concern me. She started attending the linked private school about a 40-minute drive from our home last April. Overall, she hates it - which is obviously disheartening. But I think she also is grouped together with kids who have significant behavioral issues - far worse than her issues.

I get the feeling that I should consider sending her to another private school a little farther away that has more of a focus on kids with Asperger's. She doesn't appear to like most subjects, but is really doing well with her social studies class (she apparently likes the teacher a lot).

It appears her school's goal is to have her ready to return to her old school for 8th grade.

      Thoughts?
      Michael
