This requires reposting... 93% of all Trump Tariff revenue went to farm subsidies. We are basically not selling enough agriculture stuff so prices plummet, then we are charging ourselves tariffs for import products, and then giving taxes/tariffs to farmers almost entirely. It is utter ridiculous and utterly inefficient.

I wonder why the White House doesn't want customers to have more information? These people have no shame and also are very stupid: It's a "hostile and political act" to provide price transparency to customers rather than let them assume that Amazon hiked up the prices? I dont understand the whole Trump/Amazon thing. If China is paying the tariff... why would Amazon list it on the cost of its goods? Shouldn't Trump welcome Amazon putting a big fat ZERO on the price for tariff to prove he is right and everyone else in the world is wrong?
Almost no auto makers manufacture domestically, in the sense that assembly and ALL parts and materials for the cars is done in the U.S. Those parts and materials will be subject to tariffs, unless the manufacturer sends Trump $100 million in small untraceable bills and TrumpCoin. That's the standard policy currently in effect.
Why just the automotive industry? I make my living off of selling orange makeup and extra-long ties. I need a reprieve from tariffs too. Why push off tariffs if they are good? What action did we get from pushing off tariffs? Nothing.
Respectfully, sir, you are looking at this all wrong. Amazon is trying to do Trump a favor ....... by posting all the incredible money that China will be paying to the US, if the consumer would just pull the trigger and buy that product. It's almost like; "If you buy this nose-hair trimmer, you'll also be forcing China to pay $1.85 to reduce our national debt." More economic warning signs. This time, from the Dallas Federal Reserve. Tariff uncertainty is making it impossible for businesses to plan. As a result, future orders are down, and layoffs are starting. The "outlook index" which looks at Dallas area business prospects are at mid-Pandemic levels; their lowest in years. Couple this with ports being empty and we're about to hit a very rough patch. Empty shelves, higher prices, and lower production.
