No idea what your comments mean, but facts are facts and border crossings were way down in the 6 months leading up to Trump's coronation.

 

I keep hearing the spin about border crossing going down but nobody will say what they were. And why did they start going down in the last 6 months? Was there something that could have been done in Biden first 3 years and he chose not to?

 

Probably not. What Trump supporters like to ignore, in their fact-free smorgasbord of blaming and victimhood, is an overwhelmingly simple fact : the USA needed a ton of workers after opening up from covid.

It's that simple. Millions left when the jobs went away, came back when they returned.

Also, can you imagine the inflation if our country had had 1-2 million fewer workers post-covid?

 

I'm skeptical that Trump only claimed a 93% reduction in border crossings. He usually claims 99.9%. Does anyone have tape on that? Trump did claim he has a 99.9% approval rating in immigration, if you can read that without spitting out your coffee.

 

Many of the immigrants may have stopped coming out of fear of being sent to an El Salvador prison, which may or may not be a crime against humanity and cause Trump to avoid travel to countries that might seize him and send him to the Hague to face trial. Not that any American would want Dear Leader to face trial for his crimes.

 

The last three years we averaged approximately 200k a month before it started falling off in mid-2024. By the time Biden left office it was down to about 60K. Trump now has it down to about 10K which I think is a historically low level.
