We're going to give them subsidies that well exceed the net $35 billion that DOGE is expected to wring out of the federal government.

Paying farmers for the things they don't produce which they're unable to sell because of Trump's awesome tariffs - it's winning at the highest level!!

Yeah, the problem is just as much John Barron as it is Ron Vara.

Well, it looks like he's bitching out again on some auto tariffs which is a good thing.

LOL... US retailers "pre-ordered" according to this super smart and not at all a moron Sec of Treasury. Because retailers and producers have months and months of excess inventory just lying around waiting for a tariff emergency.

This requires reposting... 93% of all Trump Tariff revenue went to farm subsidies. We are basically not selling enough agriculture stuff so prices plummet, then we are charging ourselves tariffs for import products, and then giving taxes/tariffs to farmers almost entirely. It is utter ridiculous and utterly inefficient.

You have to love this quote from the Secretary of Commerce:

“This deal is a major victory for the President’s trade policy by rewarding companies who manufacture domestically, while providing runway to manufacturers who have expressed their commitment to invest in America and expand their domestic manufacturing.”

Who is this a "deal" with, specifically? David Dennison? What did we get? The ability to charge lower tariffs?

Trump to reduce impact of auto tariffs, officials say

Speaking of hurricanes, the mallet first, scalpel never budget cuts may mean an end to hurricane Hunter flights. So we may need the sharpie. Of course, when NOAA’s accuracy goes down because of it and people die, it will be the NOAA and NHC that get blamed. Not the stable geniuses who are pushing this silliness. It’s like watching the country be dumbed down in real time.

Federal cuts to NOAA could be an ‘incredible blow’ for Chesapeake Bay, storm reporting

It's a deal between John Barron and Ron Vara
