They were great but how many farewell tours do artists have to have?
I know Elton John, Eagles, Beach Boys, Billy Joel, Dylan, Mellencamp, et al have had numerous farewell tours. Now, I get when an artist like Billy Joel has financial issues but the others…
(I believe someone in Billy Joel’s org stole many millions of $$ from him)

I always when hungry late, if it was not breakfast, it was In & Out on 2nd Avenue.

Was that the Mexican in the same little mall as the Red Lion? Nice place.

I remember a restaurant past the intra coastal by aventure landing to the right of beach blvd if you'reheading towards jax beach. They served home cooked style meal. Another chicken place on Atlantic blvd and beach blvd exit when you head towards downtown jax. Sadly, both don't exist anymore.

Almost nobody fries in lard anymore. It makes a difference. Not exactly the healthiest method but tastes so good.

The Chuck Wagon had decent fried chicken. Another long gone Gainesville place.

Yes, the first one was Homestead, the second was the iconic Beach Rd Chicken.

We still have our share in the panhandle and surrounding states.

That sounds right. It was my favorite Mexican place, but no one else ever seems to remember it.

I loved it. A great place for lunch and inexpensive. They moved to a location in Alachua, FL.

I didn’t mind the tex-mex food in Gainesville until I lived in TX for 20 years and came back. Now, nothing hits the spot. Chuy’s is about the only place I like anymore and we never ate there in TX. I used to love Millhopper cafe which is gone now, but I have a feeling it wouldn’t scratch my tex-mex itch anymore either.

Holy cow. I just looked it up and you're right. It still exists in Alachua. Wow. Now I need to make time to drive up and try it out again the next time I'm up in the area. What a fun find. Thanks!
