Trump EO will bring back Columbus Day! Only one problem...

he is talking about the actual name of the holiday

 

but in many places they've essentially renamed it indigenous persons day. So he's basically getting rid of that language and focusing on the name Columbus day.

 

didnt say indigenous people day was a federal holiday. I'm a federal employee so know what the federal holidays are. But it's being referred to as indigenous people day. Even where I work they place less emphasis on columbus day and more on indigenous people day. So this EO will stop them from doing that.

 

How? Is saying "Indigenous Peoples Day" illegal now?

 

This solves a lot of problems for a lot of Americans. Glad hes focusing on the important stuff.

 

We are finally back to promoting traditional American values like genocide of native populations and discovering places that were already discovered and taking credit

 

Not illegal but won’t hear indigenous people day at work anymore because our agency follows all presidential directives

I think Colombus day probably should be replaced, but “Indiginous People’s Day” doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue.
