Where was the outrage from the left that we are seeing today when this occurred in May, 2022?

New Report Finds Children Ordered Deported, Families Without Lawyers, and Other Gross Miscarriages of Justice on the Biden Administration's Dedicated Docket

Or how about a second report the next year.
How was this acceptable to everyone here who has been critical of Trump's DOJ and their handling of deportation cases?

So now the argument is that the border wasn't open in 2022 and, in fact, the government was stretching how authoritarian it could be in removing immigrants? Quite the narrative shift there...

You are posting an article from a dedicated immigration law organization from that time pointing out this stuff, aren't you answering your own question?

From 2022, the Southern Poverty Law Center
    Family separation – a timeline
The timeline also includes family separations under President Joe Biden. When Biden was inaugurated in January 2021, he pledged to end family separations and his administration began to reunite some families. Nevertheless, families are still being separated through detention and deportation under the Biden administration.

The Biden Administration Routinely Separates Immigrant Families

Different but related issue. I do not recall conservatives complaining when a single US District Court judge issued an order affecting national policy in this case.

So, this thread is admittedly an attempt to troll? And in doing so, you have to implicitly admit that all the rhetoric about "open boarders" from the right during the Biden administration was false.

False thread title. The report was from 2022. Mods? Bring out the ban hammer.

Seriously though, I’m pretty sure i do recall some consternation from the left about Biden keeping some of Trumps border policies in place. Which is basically what your link reflects! This is why all the stuff about “open borders” was BS. You’ve now revealed it as bs.

Did that admin deport any us citizens, any children with cancer? Did it detain students and hold them for deportation when they committed no crime? Maybe they did occasionally and those cases flew under the radar? I doubt any were so blatant, but if you could find cases with similar fact sets id be just as against the govt behaving that way then as I am now. The article you link has more to do with speedy processing of asylum claims (questionable if they were getting adequate due process), less so the type of rug pulling going on now for people with temporary or protected status. Your post here is very much the same deflection as “family separations” under Obama. Did they happen under Obama? Yes. That’s what happens when a govt deals with millions of people with not enough resources. But it wasn’t intentional policy, and if a mistake was made by that admin (like any admin before it) would follow the courts and correct the mistake. This admins policy seems to be “arrest now, ask questions later, then ignore courts who find govt at fault”. The exact opposite of justice.

One of the students was “arrested” at a naturalizion hearing. They lied to him and told him it was a citizenship interview. Instead they used that to bait him and detain him indefinitely (robbing him of his liberty). He has been charged with no crime. You think that’s how a govt should act? How does that follow the constitution?

Best I can tell, these were new immigrants who were quickly processed in, and then out based upon an expedited process. We can debate how much due process these immigrants deserve, but the fact is if they were all given full representation we’d be backed up even more.

This is one thing, deporting immigrants who are already here and established, some legally and even some children is an entirely different matter.

I don’t hear many people complaining about new immigrants claiming asylum quickly being deported - maybe we should complain I don’t know but we were running over with asylum seekers. I’m sure Gatorlaw (or UF law ?) (seems to be taking a break ) would be very much concerned with these instances.

What is getting the attention with Trump is the rounding up and sudden deportation of established and legal immigrants to a gulag in El Salvador, and on occasion US citizens.

    apples and oranges.

Did you not understand this when you read it or were so giddy at the prospect of a “what about Biden” score that you failed to analyze it?

This immigration back and forth is just a way for the politicians to keep the tax slaves all riled up. If the country was actually serious about this, you would see e-verify mandated...most of these illegals would self deport or not come here to begin with.
