Making the move to put Clemente at the back end of the bullpen has maybe salvaged our season. We've looked like a completely different team the last 3 weeks. And if Evans can stay healthy and get his bat going, it could make a huge difference in our offense.

 

Great win- and the crowd was really into it down the stretch. Outstanding environment despite some serious heat. Jake is the Dude! Grit. I was sitting 9 rows behond the plate and he was squeezed a bit in the last inning but battled through it.

 

Ty hit one HR today—and was literally inches away from hitting three. I think he’s seeing it pretty good!

 

The team exploded out of the dugout with Ty's bomb and he was as hopped up as I've seen him dancing in the dugout- really need him to get going. He is seeing it better than he has all season. He took a few pitches off the plate today that he would have swatted at and missed earlier....

 

My last post for this series, and hopefully it will sum it all up…

Wow, what a great win!!! winning this series was absolutely huge and showed the grit that this team has especially when you consider that our leader in Shelton is hurt.


McNellie was huge in his time. Kept the game reachable. Cannot understateLuke’s importance.


Jake Clemente is a dude and how about Coach Sully getting 98 pitches out of him this weekend that is just flat out great coaching on Sully’s part. Sully!!!!



Boser is an excellent college hitter.


Lawson has an unbelievable future and may be one of our best freshmen we’ve ever seen.


And how about Tybo!!!! so great to have him back and every at bat loo

This team will finish above .500 in SEC play. They are coming along in their team belief which had a sluggish start. They WILL make it to Omaha, go ahead and get your accomodations in order boys!

 

I did say early on that having Evans in the line up was good.

 

2/3 games good job. Keep doing that and the team will make noise in the postseason.

Agree on the pitching side, moving nadeau to the 9 hole and Boser to leadoff has sparked the offense as well. Nadeau went from 260 or so to about 290 or so through this weekend. It would be a huge bump if Evans starts seeing it and could get on a heater.

 

We also really need for Shelton to get back asap....that's a biggie for offense and defense. Hard to believe we just won yesterday without our starting SS, 2B, and CF
