Again, you miss my point. I don't take statistics as facts as they can be manipulated. I don't care what AAA says the price of gas is. If it is low because I bought it low, this is what I take as fact. This isn't a faith deal. I believe what I see and spend. I know for a fact, I spent less to fill up my car in a long time. Who knows what next week will hold, but this week, it is down and I'm happy to save some money. Albeit a few dollars, but a penny saved a penny earned.
I shop and know what I pay, too. Furthermore ... First time below $5 in four years? Average Price: Eggs, Grade A, Large (Cost per Dozen) in U.S. City Average
I mean really though, you didn't save anything. Because the price of gas everywhere is $2.63 because that's what you paid. You just paid the price of gas. I mean, yes, we should thank Trump that the average price of gas is down to $2.63, thanks to him. But we're just lucky to benefit from his great business acumen. We're not really saving though, because that's the price.
Lol, sure. What did you buy them for in the second quarter of 2023? Feel free to list any shopping trip you did then.
This is called an anecdote. It means less than nothing when it’s likely not even correct except in your head. Particularly the bit on eggs. No chance. Gas prices have been dancing around $3.00. So it’s possible your anecdote at least lines up with reality on that one (lowest in 4 years time), but things like freight shipping collapsing, travel collapsing, gas prices tanking are possible signs the economy is cracking/tanking. Gas was in the $1’s during covid. Was that supposed to be a good thing?

Destroying the economy will lower prices and Trump did start destroying the economy on 'day one" so it seems like he may keep his promise.
Wait, was it $2.63/gal or did you fill up your tank for less than $20? Are you riding around on your lawn tractor?
I always fill back up at or near a quarter tank. It needed 7.5 gal. I filled up for just under 20 dollars. What is so hard to understand? LOL
The 2024 Toyota Corolla gas tank has a capacity of either 13.2 gallons or 11.3 gallons, depending on the trim level. The 13.2-gallon tank is standard on most trims, while the 11.3-gallon tank is found in some hybrid models.
Okay, so then math becomes quite the problem for you... 11.3*0.75*2.63 = $22.29 13.2*0.75*2.63 = $26.04
So there are reasons why gas fluctuates, trumph hasn't done anything to lower the price of gas. We switched from winter blend to summer blend, that affects the price, as does demand. Spring break is over, so demand is down. It will go up again in June when families travel.
To be fair, he said "at or near" a quarter tank. It's like my car; on Wednesday I filled up (don't remember the exact total) but then, Thursday morning when I stopped to fill up - I spent less to fill up my car then I had in a long time. Fact. Thanks, Trump! My John Deere zero turn holds 4.5 - but I run it bone dry before I fill up. Makes those interstate jaunts a little risky but I disengage the blade to give it some pep and extend the mileage.
