Did anyone listen to the WRUF “Tailgate” show this afternoon? Pat Dooley interviewed Kyle Crooks as the guest commentator. Kyle did the Gator Softball Program good.

Francesca was an outfielder and a catcher for the Gators, not a SS. But she was great, All-America and All-SEC.

She came in as a catcher but blew out a knee and had to learn to play left field.

We need a new rule called “THE COMMON SENSE, EQUITY AND NO REVIEW RULE.” This rule would allow the three umpires ( in unity) to decide if a play makes it to review, to confer on disputed plays and uphold or change results based on on common sense and equity.
On many occasions, the umps know a play needs to be overturned so why waste time with a review. Just make the equitable decision immediately.
Stop frivolous reviews. Last night, Karen Weekley, challenged the same play twice , tag at home plate and when that failed, runner leaving early, clearly a waste of time. A case for groping for straws or looking stupid on TV. #1, my sweet patootie. Way to go Clemson!

FYI...Katelynn "Red" Oxley has the lowest ERA on staff and is 6th in the SEC. Pretty damn good for a freshman. This little girl from Bartow has become " The Great Red Hope."

Well, I said before the season, and I'm quoting myself, "dare I say she just might turn out to be better than Keagan".

Amazing since first action came less than 2 weeks before SEC action started. She only had 15 innings of experience before aTm.

I said "before the season". I knew what we had. I meant for a career. Not just this season. It's there. Scroll back and find it.

By no means was my reply intended to distract from or overshadow the message of your post. It was intended to be complementary to it. You seem to think not!
The reason I became active in this forum was a very detailed story you presented about Mia Williams and her injury. Since then I have enjoyed your insight, especially on our recruits like Taylor and Red. I will continue to enjoy your posts and you can test assured, I will not respond to your posts in the future.

Yeah, Rick pegged Red long ago. He had Taylor pegged pretty much when she entered high school.

I keep asking him about the lottery numbers for tomorrow.
    So far he's not telling.

    Why would he?
you keep using phrases like Rick pegged red long ago and he had Taylor pegged…
and you will certainly be on the DO NOT RESPOND list. Besides he will be too busy with his lawyers.

What does starting Red last night mean? My thought they would have started Keegan to confirm her recovery and status as Game 1 and 3 starter.

I think it means Keegan is the #1 and will throw first and 3rd games this weekend
Red or Ava in game 2 probably depends on who else pitches friday night

So, a little useless trivia. We have to go to Red Stick this weekend. Does anyone know why it is called Baton Rouge? I didn't so I had to cheat and look it up so I won't wait for an answer. Apparently, in the late 1600s some explorers came upon an area on the Mississippi that had a large red pole planted in the ground. It apparently was used to demarcate the boundaries of two Indian tribes. And forever more that place was known as Baton Rouge.
