Yeah, that's true, but not all players advertise it to the world when they threaten to jump into the portal.

 

Some players are either depth pieces or can go to a lesser team and start. I guess it's possible to get more money to start on a crappy team than play a handful of downs on a good team.

 

Bowlcut has complained on more than one occasion about “lesser” teams being able to pay more for his two’s and three’s than GA can because they’re ones there.
