That might have been the difference maker. He broke down the D by being the one to finally attack the rim. That seemed to be the turning point for Walt too. Those two layups were huge

Great choice by Todd to go with both of them on the floor at times late too.

I agree. We don’t win that game without his contributions

Todd just gets situational play. He pulls the right lever time after time.

Thought this was worth remembering, in the heat of the moment, that Denzel Aberdeen did more to bring home a National Championship for his team than I did, and more than anyone on this board. It makes it sting, that he has left us for another rival, but as far as I'm concerned, we'll always have San Antonio 2025.

Not the same player or skill, but to me, he was like Cliff Richard (yeah, that is THE running joke) in that game. He was the final piece of the puzzle Houston could not cover. That was one damn fine season and tourney to remember.

Moss was another unsung hero that produced unexpectedly.

Well, not sure about more than anyone or thing on this board. I can’t remember who it was, but it must be said his lucky recliner pulled us out of numerous close games in the tourney.
This brave chair swiveled at just the right times and reclined when we needed it most. This chair made many great plays and fabric’d the final swatches we needed. I know this chair will hold his headrest high when he joins others at Furnitureworld in Orlando this summer.

Wasn’t Moss constantly suffering from back trouble? Maybe if not, his senior contributions would have been a little less unexpected. Glad his perseverance was rewarded with ring.
IIRC, at the post-final press appearance, whoever of the ‘04s the press wanted up there said “sure, but our senior comes on the podium too.” Those guys really got the team thing.

If we didn't have it for a while, we got it back with this thread.

    As an aside..

I am shocked, shocked! .. to find that tampering is going on here.

Your new transfers, Mr. Golden Sir.
    Thank you.

My dog being on his chair was a contributing factor as well.

I love hearing others foolish superstitions. Naturally, the science proves that it was my "not watching the games" that was the primary off-court contribution to our championship.(s) (Followed same protocols in 06-07 FF)

When I was much, much younger, I was silly superstitious before Gator football games. After a Georgia loss, I attributed the loss to my mom coming in my room and altering my karma. (Not a good move on my part)
I started to think my pre and in game regimens could not make any difference in the outcome because there was no way team knew what I was doing! I was bat shit crazy!
