Nobody blinks faster or better than Trump. Everyone is saying it. Trump is the best at blinking.

Yep. Rumors this am that he is going to slash tariffs on China by 50%. The MAGAtards are rejoicing like he is some brainiac trade negotiator. What a joke.

While that is possible, it is also possible that they were going to miss his claimed release time (as they have for every product release, generally by years) and found an easy explanation other than "Musk promised something else that he failed to deliver."

Interesting you say that. I read an article yesterday that says fentanyl abuse is down, but meth has returned and is way up.

It’s almost as if America’s drug problem is due to American drug abusers.

Stock market is up 1,000 points today after Trump signals he's going to back down on China tariffs. Once again demonstrating the market craters when he talks about implementing tariffs and spikes when he talks about relaxing his position. In other words, the stock market does not have any faith in Trump's strategy and hopes he backs down.

Maybe … just maybe ..he will learn to actually engage in forward thinking next time instead of just popping off whatever thought is inserted into his head.

Also fits his old M.O of starting a fire, putting the fire out, then wanting praise for putting out the fire he should have never started in the first place.

As a reminder of how this policy is without purpose, one industry often cited by the Trump folks is the ship building industry's decline in the US. The funny part of this: the ship building industry has some of the highest levels of protectionism of any industry. So in order to bring back ship building, we need to emulate the policies of the last 100 years in the ship building industry. Or, in meme form:

Its pretty wild that you can get the market up on just 50-60% tariffs instead of 100%+, love the rational markets of capitalism

Remember that old product that turned your lights off and on-the Clapper?

    “Clap on……clap clap
    Clap off…….clap clap
    The Clapper”

That’s this idiot with his tariff flip flops

    Tariff on
    Tariff off
    It’s the moron.

If a blank Tshirt costs $4 today and $6 with a 50% tariff its way better than it costing $10 at 145%… however the market is still down from when he took over reflecting that 50% tariffs still are in play.

Huge negative premium factored in because he's a flighty and whimsical ignoramus who confuses conning banks into loaning money under fraudulent terms, with business acumen.

Looks like a dozen states are suing the Trump admin over his illegal tariffs.

    California sued last week.

Dozen states sue Trump in bid to block new tariffs

In addition to New York, the plaintiffs in the new lawsuit include Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, New Mexico, Oregon and Vermont.

    Boardlandia Online

Boardlandia, the second biggest board game retailer in the US, I believe, announced they are closing effective immediately ... says tariffs were the last nail in the coffin.

"The recent tariffs have unfortunately added an unsustainable burden to these existing pressures, leaving us with no viable path forward."

They aren't giving Trump (a) Monopoly, are they?

If only Trump was not so dumb, maybe he could have played Monopoly instead of running for president.

We are collecting less Tariffs per day currently than before he was elected because the shipments have stopped. Last year we collected about $220M per day and in Feb before he did anything we collected $260M. Now we are collecting $180M per day in tariffs.

Trump revises his claims about tariff revenue, but he’s still wrong

The AP concluded that the president’s preferred statistic is simply “false.”
