Smith played in five games as a true freshman including Kentucky, Texas, FSU (49 snaps) and most of the bowl game. He was also running with the ones in Spring practice, albeit because of injuries. He definitely would have contributed this year.
Tbf, we had nobody left in the secondary to put out there. We had Alfonzo out there too. He may become a great player or just a player that got some plays.
He got banged up right out of the box and never really was healthy. Not sure we ever really got to find out if he could contribute
