I actually was there. With a couple hundred others, tops. "I Will Follow" was the only song that really got a lot of enthusiasm from the audience. So they played it twice.
I know the owners of the salty dog and they have no plans to go out of business unless they demolish the whole strip well then….
They did their sizes funny at Cassidy’s. Mini was their small, small was their medium and medium was their large. I had many happy meals their until the day somehow bug spray got in their sauce.
My brother, SIL, and I went there one time. We thought we were heat-tolerant when it came to spicy food. I think we ordered medium heat, but still had to wipe the excess sauce off just so we could eat it.
I had a roommate named Rick that ate so much RR pizza we called him Rocko. Dude gained like 70 pounds in college on an all pizza and beer diet.
I have to disagree with you about one thing. This would be one of the things in life you could buy. I don't have the money nor would I want to but others have clearly bought their way in there. Kids should decide themselves if they want to go or not. I wouldn't judge them either way.
It was a hot sauce for sure. I loved the place because I could get BBQ'd goat. I can now get cabrito at La Tienda but not as good. Well prepared Jamaican goat is also really good but hard to find.
Real old Gainesville. Captain Louis Galley and Chandlers Hamburger, Phil & Nicks, Primrose Inn, Woodys sandwich shop
No, wait...REALLY old gainesville: Jerry's Restaurant. NW corner of 16th Ave and 13th, IIRC. It was a "treat" to get to go out there when we lived in Gainesville in 1966-1967.
