Great game to watch, both teams fighting hard. Gators got the clutch hits in the end to walk it off. Good to see Keagan pitching like her old self. Really hard for any pitcher to get through a good-hitting lineup 3 times.

I'll take Rothrock throwing 6.2 quality innings vs a top 20 team all day long.....getting her back in form for the postseason is much more important than one game

 

Well that was exciting. And stressful. Great game against a quality opponent.

 

Agreed. Come on Rothrock. Slowly get yourself back to your usual self. If she gets there, this is a national championship-contending team. Not hyperbole.

 

GRITTY performance from Red. Coming in both times knowing you have to shut the momentum from the other team and does it TWICE.

 

Great game, CWS level. Lot to like, much better pitching and some clutch hitting. Always great to beat Bama, historically our #1 rival in softball.

 

I thought this was a great move by CTW, although it didn't pay off. Yes, Brown's average is over 100 points lower, but power over a slapper with two runners on seemed like a great move.

Yeah, I was thinking they needed to get a room! Not sure, but I think Ava instigated it -- classly move. I would have loved to have that be mic'ed up.

 

Only after their catcher dropped an easy pop-up at the plate.

Falby, next batter up, would have been out but was safe on a fielder's choice (cuz Holtorf had walked instead of out on the popup).

Much different game if Alabama had that out. Would have been two-outs with Erickson up. She hit it to the 1B, who would have just stepped on the bag to end the game.

But with one out, she went for the double play (didn't get) and Falby went on to score. And the rest is history.

That drop was a huge turning point. Alabama had the win in their grasp.

 

You can do this rehash after virtually every 1 run game.
From the other side, If the Bama runner is out stealing as she should have been, they don't score their first run, etc etc. We won a good game, be happy.

 

It’s the tiniest of things sometimes times and being able to take advantage that is the difference between winning and losing. That dropped pop up was HUGE! Great bounce back performance from Keagan! She looked like she looked during last season’s run the majority of the game. Great job by Red closing it out. Offense did just enough. Definitely would have liked a couple more runs earlier in the game so it wasn’t so stressful at the end. Gritty team performance and series win against a classic rival and great team who just knocked off Oklahoma. I was premature against Arkansas after Korbes walk off grand slam but perhaps THIS was the moment in the season where the team really starts firing on all cylinders, I sure hope so! Having Keagan back in form along with all the bats heating up will translate into going far! Clean up defense and I don’t see why they can’t go all the way. Go Gators!

 

I think he’s just pointing out how big that moment was that some might not have realized. I’m sure he’s happy as am I. Great win against a great opponent.
