He may be able to be paid better elsewhere. We have talent back there that he may not be able to get snaps. We can only allow so much cash for depth. Maybe can can get snaps and more money.

 

It has the smell of a desperate coach in Miami needing a safety because he couldn't retain his depth and is throwing money at a problem to make it look like a rival got beat out and is poor. Keeping almost all our contributing players, including guys who could have gone in the draft. suggests we are paying fairly.

 

Taking a guy that's hoping to get snaps is not very impressive if that's the feather in his hat
