It has been 3 whole weeks since the last leak from Hegseth. Now, another one from a "leading advisor." Things seem to be going very well. Maybe Fox News morning show hosts shouldn't be put in charge of the Pentagon, as crazy as that might sound.

It's not clear if we was leaking actual sensitive information or just telling truths about things the admin didn't want being made public. Either way, they're well within their right to dismiss him but based on the response we saw to the signal group chat fiasco, this admin seems a lot more concerned about the latter than the former.

    Trump hires only the best.

Makes sure of it ....... because he really loves America. Cares about our people, wants them well served.

^(seems funny to even type sarcastically, right)

I don’t think Trump hired the advisor who was terminated due to leaks.

I'm pretty sure Trump hired the unqualified TV host/drunk who did make the hire.

Great point though- Trump did a great job on this, because he cares about America.

“Caldwell was placed on administrative leave for "an unauthorized disclosure," the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity. The decision has not been previously reported.”

Not but the probability is very high that Trump hired the person responsible for hiring the advisor.

funny thing is that Trump found out about Elon visit to the pentagon in the press

Trump Axed Elon Musk’s Secret Pentagon Meeting in Pure Outrage | The New Republic

Donald Trump was apparently mad at Elon Musk for planning to attend a secret briefing on China at the Pentagon last month.

After news of that briefing was reported in The New York Times, Trump angrily canceled it, saying, “What the f**k is Elon doing there? Make sure he doesn’t go,” an unnamed top official told Axios.

    drop these here

Military Brats Slap Pete Hegseth With a Lawsuit Over Book Removals

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is being sued by 12 students over the removal books on race and gender from Pentagon schools following an executive order from President Donald Trump.

The lawsuit, filed on the students’ behalf by the American Civil Liberties Union, alleges that their First Amendment rights are being infringed by the decision, which they argue places children in danger by depriving them of important information about health, hygiene, biology, and abuse.

nothing to see here people..entire department of our best techies said FU doge, good thing war isn't so technically evolving everyday

i don't think they are going to have a problem finding a job. maybe we can get some of those russian tech guys or NK. I'm sure DOGE has a teenager somewhere willing to sell secrets that can do the job

The entire Pentagon defense technology team is resigning, putting US at huge risk of cyberattacks

Almost all of the staff for the Defense Digital Service (DSS) have confirmed they are resigning as a result of DOGE pressure, with many of the DSS’ responsibilities to be taken over by the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office.

The DSS has been a key source of innovation and new tech adoption at the Pentagon for the past decade, introducing numerous tech remedies during the US withdrawal from Afghanistan and Ukrainian aid transferal programs.

Of the 14 employees that make up the DSS office, 11 are planning to take Trump’s deferred resignation package by the end of April. DSS Director Jennifer Hay is planning on leaving by May 1, with the two remaining employees planning to resign also.

One of the DSS’ main responsibilities was to introduce fast track technology during national security incidents to help the Pentagon to quickly react to developing situations.

I believe it's just a clickbait spin and in reality they are taking the deferred resignation program because they will get paid for 5 months to not come to work. And in the meantime they can go get other jobs. True double-dipping.

What kind of incompetent clownish pseudo-administration would be working towards "efficiency", yet allow (former) govt employees to get paid from two jobs at once?

Imagine having voted for that incompetence.

    #SAD!!

Should the government have any say in what you do while on administrative leave? If an employee wants to use the time to take a vacation or get another job is up to them. The stipulation for administrative leave is that you can get recalled at any time . Can’t speak to how it saves the government money. But it was offered so why not take advantage of it? It’s certainly something I did. And I know many who wish they had taken advantage of it as well.

Ha. I didn't advocate for the govt infringing on people's rights, just that -surprise!- that Musk guy set up a pretty inefficient procedure here. Guess that went over your head.

But hey! It's nice to see you standing up for individuals' rights! Quick, before this sentiment leaves you ... run on over to the 'deportation to El Salvador' thread. Let us know how deeply opposed you are to deporting to a foreign prison someone who hasn't even had a trial.

Or do those individuals' rights you are so super in favor of only apply to people like ..... you?

i'm in favor of US Citizens rights in this country. In fact i've been protecting the rights of all US Citizens for over 40 years in my job. The El Salvador thread involves a non-US Citizen.
