No, 5 units makes it commercial with higher interest rates and taxes. 4 units is residential.

Tit for tat, great... Meanwhile the rest of us get piledrived in the anus while the elites fight in the courts with our money.

I just love the two party system.

The State of NY requires the AG to have been a resident of the state for 5 years prior to election. I would assume they have to be a state resident after they are elected.

How does one retaliate by noticing mortgage fraud committed by a high profile prosecutor who went after a former POTUS? It’s not like they can choose not to prosecute this. To not prosecute these sorts of crimes would be highly unethical, if not criminal.

Respectfully, going to disagree to an extent.

This is more like tit-for-90 grand jury indictments.

And here below, if we needed evidence of more of it. But it's not the same thing - it's just the attempt to conflate or compare things to legitimate outright criminality.

Trump admin sues Maine over transgender athletes

The federal lawsuit comes after the Trump administration tried to cut off all of Maine's federal funding for public schools and school lunches.

If the details of this story are true, it likely then required very little effort for this to be found. Most loan applications are digitized these days and if you think the agencies and banks aren’t hunting for fraud regardless of your party registration, you should probably go ahead and retain a lawyer. This is very brazen conduct by a prosecutor, if it’s true.

I wonder if claiming principal residence in Virginia was a tactic to avoid paying a higher NY State income tax on non-wage income. Probably not ..... a lawyer would never try to avoid taxes.

If this is true, she should be assessed whatever the applicable penalties for such offenses. The fact that it may be politically motivated is irrelevant. If you are a DA, you can’t be above the law.

Can’t speak for everyone here but I personally wish your opinion on everything was ___________!

Advice to Jo; there is an old saying that it is better to stay quiet and let people think you’re ignorant, than to open your mouth and confirm their suspicions. Think on that for a while

Doubt it’s true… banks require inspections, appraisals, permit review, tax records, etc, for a mortgage. Seems highly unlikely you could lie about the number of units and no one would notice. If there is any truth to this at all, then most likely a unit was added after the fact.

Don't care on who is worse, that's how we keep getting worse choices from our shit parties. They both suck and keep getting news when neither one is solving problems for real folks. Screw em and the media for picking it up. Private campaigns and media should all be public funded. Tired of it.

That part is probably made up, too. Trump lies about EVERYTHING. I think we both know it’s highly unlikely that a property appraiser and home inspector would miscount the number of units, which is why I’m not just taking Trumps word that for it… but you do you…

Didn’t she stand up and say she was still going after President Trump after he was re-elected? I mean, there are glass houses and then there are glass houses.

A lender doesn’t see a home inspection. …That is for the sole consumption of the borrower. I do agree that if an appraisal was required ( some properties get waivers), but if one was required it is highly unlikely that the appraiser would miss that or also commit fraud. Just unlikely. I would want to see the application that LJ signed at the closing. That’s the one that is binding. Whatever she put on initial loan request is irrelevant. I reserve judgement till I see more info

I think we should just give Trump a break here. I mean if anyone knows anything about mortgage and real estate fraud, it’s him.

I’m pretty sure for the most favorable loans, like VA and FHA, do require a home inspection …
