Way-too-early moved us up to #18...before this development. Now, another dominant big who can rule the paint please. 18. Florida Gators Previous ranking: 19 How will the Gators follow up an incredible season? It could depend on how Todd Golden rebuilds the perimeter. Walter Clayton Jr. is obviously the big departure, but Will Richard and Alijah Martin are also out the door. And what about Alex Condon? He's a borderline first-round draft pick and could test the NBA waters. Thomas Haugh is a certain breakout candidate next season, while Rueben Chinyelu is also back down low. Expect a much different projected lineup for the next update, with transfers Xaivian Lee (Princeton) and AJ Brown (Ohio) among the targets. Projected starting lineup Denzel Aberdeen (7.9 PPG) Urban Klavzar (3.2 PPG) Cornelius Ingram Jr. (No. 26 in ESPN 100) Thomas Haugh (9.8 PPG) Rueben Chinyelu (6.1 PPG)
Good get. Aberdeen, Brown, Lee, and Klavzar is a good group. Get me a 6’6 wing that can shoot and defend like Richard and we may have something if the whole front court is back.
Top 100 portal players: 26. Xaivian Lee, 6-4, PG, Jr., Princeton The two-time first-team All-Ivy League selection has been on the radar of NBA teams and high-major programs for the last couple seasons. He is coming off his best season after averaging 16.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists, shooting nearly 37% from 3-point range.
Nice pick up! One more back court player a top one and we will be good, similar too Clayton would be great!!
Lee Aberdeen Haugh Condon Chinyelu That's a long starting five bringing great defense in the 2 through 5 spots. Don't know what kind of defender Lee is but he's got good length to start with. With a deep bench, not really worried about bringing anyone else in unless we can get a stud shooter at the 2 or 3..
I understand that defense is not Lee’s strong suit, but even if so, he can improve this year and you are correct that we have solid defenders at the other positions. That starting five would be a legit lineup.
