One instance of a restraining order filed, but as the wife explained, she filed the order out of caution, but never followed through because the couple went to counseling, the marriage became stronger, and there have been no incidents since 2021. That still doesn't justify the administration deporting him to a life sentence in a torture prison under the false premise of him being a gang member.

Why are so many people in the administration and his supporters willing to die on this hill? The case against the guy as a gang member is flimsy at best and the DOJ attorneys already admitted they made an error in deporting him. Just make the phone call and get him back.

It also undermines their mission of deportating dangerous criminals and rallies the public against them. One way or another this guy is getting out - either he's already dead or he's going to talk about the terrible conditions at the prison - both of which are going to sway more public opinion against deportations.

Just another stupid, stubborn, unforced error because Trump and his administration refuse to acknowledge ever making a mistake.

 

I suspect that it is because the Trump administration is seeing how willing their supporters are to support shipping people to a foreign gulag without due process and ignoring the courts in doing so. So far: great success. Next step: US citizens.

It's okay to ignore court orders and due process is no longer necessary. If the government has suspicions of you they can take you away never to be seen regardless if you are a citizen or have committed a crime. Thanks new conservatives for letting us know where you stand on this
