Seems to me, we might not want to challenge that rule – lest we open up our proven/post spring talent to the likes of Kirby and his ilk…
I’m not challenging anything, just saying that I believe the only reason the rule is still in place is because nobody has challenged it yet. The NCAA hasn’t been able to win any of these types of lawsuits restricting movement. Don’t know why the sec would be given any special treatment. We’ve been lucky thus far that the transfers have just willingly left the conference or agreed to redshirt if they stayed in conference.
Yeah, it is still a rule....but as you say, none of those rules are surviving actual challenges in court.
