Mission accomplished! So are you saying that we can now fire most of the employees in the USDA and claim victory? Nothing worse than a government department that has become useless and outdated . . .

Even assuming that the new strategy to combat avian flu will be effective, its effect will be prospective. The new strategy has absolutely nothing to do with the recent drop in the price of the eggs which is the direct result of egg laying hens hatched four to six months ago reaching maturity and increasing the supply of eggs.

A couple of years ago, Dollar Tree went from charging $1 for everything in the store to $1.25 and then added a few higher priced things. I went in a few days ago and a lot of stuff has just gone up. $1.50, $1.75, $3.50 ...

So Trumpers are guilty of counting their chickens before they hatched? Or not counting them after they hatched?

Lol... The Dems still blaming Trump for Biden's egg prices? We will raise more chickens, but it was Biden that had 150,000,000 chickens and left us in this mess.

I find it interesting that only American chickens are getting these bird flues. Isn't that a coincidence...:mad:

It's not a coincidence. It's false. Canada has had plenty of bird flu cases too, but the effect isn't as big. That's because Canada has a lot more family farms and less mega chicken farms than the US. So when a farm in the US is hit by the flu, thousands of chickens are sacrificed. In Canada, it's only hundreds.

In normal circumstances, the mega farms make eggs cheaper here in the US. Economy of scales. But during an avian bird outbreak, the mega farm gets hit even harder.

Gas price hits highest price since last September. Anyone tired of winning yet?

JUMP AT THE PUMP: ANOTHER WEEK OF RISING GAS PRICES

WASHINGTON, DC – Gas prices made a bigger jump this past week, with the national average for a gallon of regular going up by more than 10 cents to $3.26. Several factors are driving the increase, including refinery maintenance and summer-blend gasoline switch. The last time the national average reached $3.26 was back in September
