Rothrock is not right yet. Her walks before the elusive injury were non existent as were home runs given up. Those are now becoming quite common. Been in trouble every inning but apparently we are back to riding one pitcher regardless.
Keagan is just not herself. Very inconsistent hitting her spots. 87 pitches in 4 innings is not the Rothrock we saw last year and the first half of this season. It's been that way since she came back from her hiatus. 3 walks and 3 hit batters today, plus too many pitches left over the heart of the plate. And our offense today has been listless. Weak swings and a lot of popups.
And for those that say oh well, we won the series. ..you are wrong. Every game matters at this point. Seeding, intimidation in case you play again, continued momentum from last game, very poor play today.
And comia has a zero length leash...one glitch and she gets yanked. Got pulled in a prior game after making an out catch too deep behind 3rd. She has to be perfect to stay in the game while others get multiple chances.
