she really held her own last night against the top players in the world. She was not overmatched at all, easily a high 4 or 5 star player..
The whole concept of the portal is to prevent tampering. They were obviously tampering before but the portal made it okay to contact once they entered. It’s to stop recruitment like the way muffet McGraw recruited Nebraska’s best player in the handshake line after she scored 25 on them. simply not allowed. With all the ways these schools can recruit it’s wild they are still breaking the rules this egregiously with no consequences

Just want to give a little refresher on the current signees: Sarah Deng 5’10 Guard/Wing Just wrapped up her 2nd year of JuCo. Sarah has made some nice strides already from last year to this year. Great length, speed, and I can see her as a very effective 3 and D type player for us. Sarah chose the Gators over Maryland, Marquette, Pitt, Memphis and others. Definitely one of the tops jucos available. As I stated in an earlier post, if Brenda Frese wants a player, so do we! **Also I think a recent ruling stated that juco doesn’t count against eligibility, so we can get her for up to 4 years now? I think that’s right? Meaning we can extend Dizeko as well?
From what I understand if Dizeko wanted she could possibly get one extra year. Right now it's just a 25-26 option because of a lawsuit filed by a Vandy player over NIL opportunities. It's going to be interesting to watch. If Juco's get 2 extra years, plus the NIL/portal, plus regular HS recruiting, plus the growing number of international players... seems some players are going to be left off teams that before would have found a home. Next up on our newcomers: Caterina Piatti 6’4 Forward/Center -Caterina is a little harder to find recent footage of, because it looks like she may have suffered an injury around Christmas and missed a lot of the season she was set to play in. -Italian senior national team member as of this year.
