    I thought I had heard the Tally locals were pushing to name their court after Hamilton as well. Crazy what being mediocre can get you at FSU.

    Yeah, I should have looked it up, I was going by memory. Sloan left when I graduated and I thought Kruger replaced him. But you are right, DeVoe coached one year. I thought Dwayne graduated in 89 when I did, but forgot he quit the team.

    I don’t have anything against him; I just think he is not a good coach and is in the Sampson style of coaching. I will say he was an ideal fit for FSU. He should retire soon IMO as modern basketball has passed him by.

    I actually admire Gator fans who abhor FSU. They hate and resent UF so much it’s not funny. I think many FSU grads wanted to attend UF but were denied entrance so that partly explains their hatred.

    Don’t blame those kids for their ill feelings. We have lost a lot of State of Florida legacy kids that are outstanding that didn’t get accepted. Yet we take a bunch of Middle East and Asian students that have no idea what UF is and will not enhance the quality of the workforce in this state.

    When I was at North Texas, I was a grad student director. My band had students from Korea, Sweden, Germany, and Puerto Rico. I always thought that was a good thing.
