I think that the calling of all of those soft fouls in the second half cost Houston the game, even if the fouls were even handed.
Well said - I was going to post this thought exactly. We came out after halftime with the attitude "if they aren't going to call anything, we can play physical too". I'm not sure if the refs decided to call the 2nd half to limit that style of play from the get go or they realized calling fouls on the Gators meant they had to call them on Houston. I personally think we forced their hand but either way, kudos to CTG for changing it up. It certainly helped the good guys.
I am going to see how this BS plays out but I bet that neither of you guys actually fenced foil or have directed it.
My post was a joke which you should have realized. As for fencing, there is no way I am going to fence anything. I make a good living as a lawyer, and I want to leave it that way.
I never know when you are making a joke. I could make a joke here about Glover but I won't. My wife is a lawyer.
I can appreciate that you directed foil fencing matches; I have zero knowledge about fencing in any way. I can only imagine how difficult it is to direct the sport for many factors.
I do try to make my jokes obvious. In other words, it’s usually something off the wall that should be detected as not a serious post by me.
I find familiarity makes it easier to interpret. There are some wise-acres on here (I can be one at times), and knowing that about the poster helps me here it in "their tone of voice."
