His leaving opened the door for Haugh to play a lot and grow his game.

 

I think I was the only one here two years ago who said Clayton was the missing piece who would be the best player in college basketball and lead us to a NCAA championship win over Houston by 2 points...I never really had any doubt and I hate to say I told you so....yeah right...

 

One reason Clayton transferred to Florida was his mom. She talked to Golden and told him to "bring my baby back home."
