To me one the best things about Golden has been the improvement from last year in virtually every player. Major kudos to the coaching staff.

The most poetic thing is how we beat Houston at their own game. Everyone was talking about how tough they were and how they dive for every loose ball.

we did it. What a great team!!!
Never stopped even down 12 to the best defensive team we’ve seen in a few years.

We were down early in the AU game Saturday and as I got out of my truck to go into a football reunion banquet (believe it or not, a 50th JV HS team reunion) I noticed a penny heads up on the floorboard. I picked it up and put it in my pocket for luck. Left the banquet room to get my wife a drink and the bar TV showed we were down at the half, so I complained to the penny. During our coach’s talk word circulated of our win…whoop whoop. I left that penny in my pocket and I’ll be damned if it didn’t work again tonight. Another come from behind win because I believe in lucky pennies and that team of Gators believes in each other. Wow.

Please keep that penny for football. Wish baseball could borrow it.

We beat Houston at their own game - Half court offense and great defense. And we also won the game at the foul line. The refs only called 4 fouls the first half and then called 26 the second half. The play wasn't any different. They just decided to call the game differently the 2nd half and we adjusted better than they did. Houston was called for 19 fouls, Florida 11. We were 17-21 from the free throw line, they were 9-14. What a fantastic game. We only led for 1:03 the entire game and yet had the lead when the clock ran out. National champs, BABY!!!

Houston is still ahead of us on KenPom. Is there a banner for that?

Houston had 16 more shots from the field. I thought for sure this was going to be the stat that did UF in. The incredible defense in the last few minutes made that a moot point though, imho.

UF made some of that up at the FT line:
    17/21 vs 9/14

I'm guessing Micah is glad he burned his redshirt to be part of this life time memory. Good call. :)

But he is not the coach of the year nationally or in the conference. The NC is not a participation trophy!
