Will Richard's defense to start the 2nd half kept UF in the game

Some amazing rebounds at crucial times.

 

I don't think the opposing teams and coaches realize what makes this team tick. You could say it is depth and the 40.000 minute focus, but it is MUCH more than that. This team is built for winning it all. It.just.is.

 

His shot has still been uneven, but his defense has been terrific most of the season. I feel perfectly confident with him defending anyone 1-3. Stays in position on ball, makes good switches, contests shots, shoots gaps, scrapes down in bigs without losing his man.

 

Also, his defensive box plus-minus has been 4.6, which is third in our rotation and the best of our guards. Highest defensive win shares.

 

Golden's first acquisition. He's always working hard. He deserves success Monday night.

3 steals and 6 rebounds are huge. Not gaudy. Similar to Chinlyu in that aspect. Love that kind of effort to affect the outcome. Whatever I can do.

 

Richard isn't letting whether his shots are going down affect his defense. A truly unselfish team.

In yonder years we were lucky to have one scrappy underdog whose effort always stood out. On this team it's hard to point out one that doesn't.

 

Alex has been sub par his norm, just not shooting. Had some bad turnovers.

Yep, his defense and rebounding were huge. Hoping for his shot to be going down tonight. We are almost impossible to beat if his shot is going down and we’re not turning the ball over.

 

I loved his block on Johni's attempted dunk. Alex did not do a Dikembe Mutombo finger wag but you know he wasn't about to let Broome show him up after Broome talked trash to Alex throughout the game.

 

Will Richard was the difference today! Way to come back from some off shooting nights to keep us in the game when everyone was struggling. Added tough D and 8 boards too!
