Does anyone have an update on him. I liked his swing. I would rather give him a chance than see a senior in Ty Evans strike out 2/3 of the time. Is Blake out for the year?

My guess was they opted for a redshirt. Early it looked like he was behind Evans, Jones, cyr, yost, Wilson, nadeau....so it made sense. Now not so clear

That's what I thought. However now why not give him a shot?

If they sat him down early and convinced him it was in his best interest to save a year of eligibility and work on development it's somewhat tough to yank that year this late in the season. And while he might help, it seems unlikely he really moves the needle all that much. Total speculation on my part...he would probably give up the rs to play, but staff may be protecting his long term interest

I get it. However I remember when they did it with Cags.

But Cags was a difference maker and was never going to be here for an extra year

I would argue with transfers coming in and out, if he's good, he won't be here long. Might as well take advantage of his talent while on campus. Especially with an off season coming up that we havent seen in a very long time.

We will only have one returner in our InF in Lawson. I expect Heyman and even Kurland to sign. Our OF needs a complete overhaul. We should get Jones back. I don't trust Nadeau or Yost to pen them in as starters. Next year is a complete rebuild re our position players.

Or he may not be good enough and plans to transfer with 3 years
Not sure Kurland will have great options, Cyr either. Heyman playing better now so his stock will improve. Yost is ok imo....still pretty raw given limited time last year and then the acl setback. Nadeau could be back too
