Broom and Kardell both were holding and pushing guys in the back. I don’t think I have seen a crew Miss so many blatant calls. They should have been embarrassed when the replays came on and they reviewed. I don’t think they have seen a team get up for blocks as often as Florida does. Haugh and Condo both got a couple of clean ones down the stretch, all fouls. Imagine Johnni Broom or Cooper Flagg doing this, everyone watching tv saw these guys get no calls all night. Even the announcers on tv felt compelled to say a lot of fans are sending messages that the referees were lopsided lopsided in their calling fouls. There should be someone(s) reviewing their efforts and show them their poor recognition of these blatant calls, take away work or fine them, and put them on probation. If they get called out three times in a year, they should be relieve of their calling games in their areas for a year. These bozos looked lost on all calls, as a Gator fan, I knew we were playing against eight at all times last night. Proof in the pudding, Charles Barkley even saying Florida was the best team, clearly, and deserved the win. I nice way of telling like it was stacked against Florida. Thanks Charles.
Petiford #0 should have fouled out due to him running into all our guards, hacking arms and pushing. He is very good but his defense, these refs let him get away murder of anything moving.
They do the same in basketball, there’s just not as many things the coach can challenge and force the review for.
Broom had at least 6 obvious non calls before he was called for the charge. He was incredulous on that one as it was let go all game. Much more than “ let them play”. Plus all of those late game tie ups after they tried to break Martin’s wrists. Very bad no calls.
Ron Groover did our UConn, Vandy, first UT and UNC games. Doug Sirmons did our USCe game away. Terry Oglseby did our Bama and Missouri SEC Tournament games as well as Auburn away, Texas at home and USF in Jax. Added in edit: You might recognize them by face and not names. Hey, it is still early. Have a cold one (or two or three or...) and then let your Gator Fan gene kick in. I know you can do it, if you just give it a bit of a try!
Giving up a timeout instead of a technical foul is certainly a better way of getting your point across. If I am right, it was a smart move by Golden.
